Justin Neilson is a 2002 graduate of Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, with a Bachelor Degree of Applied Science in Architectural Studies. Justin holds an Associates degree in Architectural Drafting from Kaskaskia Community College in Centralia, Illinois. After college, he worked as an Architectural Intern / Project Manager for 2 different Southern Illinois Architectural Firms. During this period he worked on numerous primary and secondary educational facilities, religious facilities, historic preservation, and commercial projects. Justin completed the National Council of Architectural Boards Internship Development Program, in 2007. Later in 2007, he went to work as a Construction Engineer, on a $3.1 billion heavy civil project for one of the worlds largest Professional Engineering, Consulting and Project Management firms. During this period, Justin worked as a lead for the shop drawing team, coordinating, checking, and collaborating with the designers, client, and field personnel. In December 2015, he successfully completed the Architecture Registration Exam and became a registered Architect in Illinois. Justin is a professional member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), International Code Council (ICC), and the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). He holds certifications as a Safety Trained Supervisor of Construction (STSC), from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, and is also 10 hour OSHA certified. He has been trained by the United States Corps of Engineers in Contractor Quality Management for Construction and Project Manager Training for Architects and Engineers by the Illinois Capital Development Board. Justin is currently seeking clients in Illinois to provide full Architectural Services from Design through completion.
